Modena, in the heart of Emilia-Romagna, was a melting pot for the growing passion for cars. Engine builders, mechanics and coachbuilders worked side by side with constructors of small series, in an environment that gave rise to some of the best-looking sports and competition cars ever built. In this dynamic world, a name: Serenissima. It was the name of a race team active in motorsport at that time, competing in GT and prototypes as well as F1. They even went on to produce a sports car bearing the name; a road-going car ahead of its day, with a mid- engined layout. The man behind Serenissima was Count Giovanni Volpi di Misurata.
